Geek T-Shirt Design Contest Winners Announced!

As our ‘I May Be Fashion Challenged But I’m Smarter Than You’ T-Shirt Design Contest wraps up, we are ecstatic at the amount of geeky designs we received and as it turns out, Geeks are not as Fashion Challenged as we thought! They are actually pretty hilarious! Most of the designs were so humorous and sarcastic that we literally couldn’t stop ourselves from cracking up!

From the 125 contest submissions we received, there were so many hilarious and fashionable T-Shirts it was hard for us to pick just three winners!! We know you are dying to know.. So here we go..

Grand Prize:

This T-shirt encompasses Geek Humor – with a reference to a computer game, a popular song and a great color scheme, this shirt has it all! Plus, who doesn’t love to play brick breaker right?? We weren’t the only ones that loved this design; it was very popular with votes as well! This design is definitely worthy of the grand prize, an Apple iPad! Congratulations!

2nd Place:

With this year being all about the iPad, we thought this was a shoe in, but the fact that it combines a hilarious joke with the iPad makes it worthy of 2nd place! We just couldn’t get over this clever combination, not to mention the hilarious design! It also works as a great reminder to whoever sees you wearing the shirt!

3rd Place:

Warning: This shirt is awesome. The great Trojan Horse Malware has plagued this decade of computing. Most of us hate it and some of you may have been even plagued by it. This design commemorates the vicious method in which many of the Trojan Horses delivered their fatal worm. Clever and well designed, this age old play-on-words never gets old to us. To quote Virgil’s famous line, “Do not trust the horse, Trojans! Whatever it is, I fear the Greeks, even bringing gifts.”

In order to commemorate geeks everywhere, Fibers and eSarcasm.com have partnered to bring you “I May Be Fashion Challenged But I’m Smarter Than You” T-Shirt Design Contest. T-Shirt Contest Winner Revealed – Dad to the Bone

Our Father’s Day Contest finished last month, but we just received a photo of our talented winner, his son, and his brand new iPad wearing his winning Dad to the Bone T-Shirt. Congrats to all the winners of our Father’s Day t-shirt design challenge and especially our grand prize winner and proud father Guav!

All three winning designs are available for sale and profits benefit the National Fatherhood Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with their fathers. You can purchase the winning designs.

Father’s Day T-Shirt Contest Winners Announced!

I must say.. what a ride! We are absolutely over the moon with the amount of designs we received, all the great art and slogans, but most of all our friendship with the National Fatherhood Initiative, our partner and beneficiary of our 2010 Father’s Day Design Contest. Not only a wonderful non-profit organization with an incredibly important mission, NFI has a passionate and dedicated staff who we couldn’t have done this without. We were blessed with NFI as a teammate for this contest. We wish to sincerely thank them for all their hard work and for sharing this Father’s Day with us

I know…You want to know who the winners are! With over 250 submissions it was really hard for the judges to choose just three winners! After hours of deliberation, the winners are..

This submission embodies the heart of the contest for two reasons. One, the design is the three F’s: Fantastic, Fun, and Fricken’ cool as they come! Two, this entry’s message of “Dad to the Bone” is deep. How you may ask? Nothing is deeper than being a dad to your bones, through and through. In addition, this design was extremely popular with visitors and with all these aspects added together… this design was worthy of the Grand Prize: an Apple iPad. Congratulations!

This submission is truly awesome. It’s funny, heartfelt, slick, and just down-right real all rolled together to make one heck of a t-shirt. This entry truly redefines what dads are all about. Great job!

This submission makes us feel all warm and fuzzy while distracting us by its incredible design. The message is wonderful and is a shirt we can all be proud about wearing. Great work!

With over 30 submissions in less than two days, the contest is shaping up to have an exciting finish. Why you ask, well one reason we suspect has something to do with the grand prize… an Apple iPad! ‘Celebrating Fatherhood: Father’s Day T-shirt Design Challenge’ is a contest in which participants design t-shirts to unseat the reigning champ of Father’s Day shirts, notably the “#1 Dad” shirt. Not restricted to dads, moms, sons, or daughters, all are encouraged to participate. The aim is to celebrate dads so the design can either be for dads, such as “World’s Coolest Dad”, or a shirt about one’s dad, such as “My Dad is a Hero”. Submitted designs will then be voted upon by other entrants and the general public. Though voting alone will not decide the winner, they will be a factor in addition to being judged on design, slogan, user comments, and social media activity.

The other reason our contest is getting so much attention is our wonderful partner and beneficiary the National Fatherhood Initiative, or NFI. The NFI is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with their fathers. Profits from the winning designs’ sales on Fibers.com will be donated to the NFI to aid in their cause. According to the NFI, children without fathers are much more prone to teen parenthood, financial instability, poor academic performance, and criminal activity. Our ultimate goal with this contest is to raise awareness of the NFI all while benefiting the non-profit financially to further promote their worthy and timely cause.

Nurses Week T-Shirt Contest Winner Announced! Purchase Benefits Charity

Attention nurses with patients! We mean, those with patience! The wait is finally over… Fibers.com & Medical Solutions ‘Give it a Shot: Nurses Week Design Challenge’ has officially concluded and we have announced the winners. First we would like to thank all those who participated and our partner in design, Medical Solutions.

With 138 design submissions, together Medical Solutions and Fibers.com had our work cut out for us selecting just three winners. The criteria judges examined to select the winner was based on t-shirt design, clever or heartfelt catchphrase, popularity, and meaningful comments. Drumroll please…. Here are our three winners! Congratulations!

1st Place: Angels in Comfortable Shoes

We felt that this design not only had a clever and compassionate slogan, it captured the popularity of voters and drew heartfelt comments from visitors. Be sure to check out the back of the t-shirt which was our favorite part!

2nd Place:  It’s All About the Trauma

This design is super slick, the catchphrase was uber-clever, and the designer even put it on a cute ladies shirt. Though it didn’t have as much activity as some, it embraced the spirit of the contest celebrating the nursing profession while looking great at the same time.

3rd Place: Change the World

When it comes to activity, this one took the prize. Compassionate and meaningful comments rained on this design including some real tear-jerkers! In addition, this clean design conveyed a wonderful message that’s both encouraging and empowering.

The time is now as our Fibers.com Give it a Shot! Nurses Week T-Shirt Design Challenge is coming to a close in exactly one week on May 12th. We are thrilled to announce that we have received over 100 design submissions! For those of you that have not yet submitted a design, not to worry. There is no clear front-runner yet and anything can happen, so get on over to the contest and start designing your custom t-shirt to win over $500 in prizes.

In addition, we encourage all to help out your favorite t-shirt design by voting. Registering to vote in the contest is quick, simply a one-click step. However, the number of votes is not everything to winning the contest. Judges will be looking at design quality, concept, and creativity along with reading comments left by users and fans when deciding the winner. So if there’s a design you really like, comment on the design and tell them why. This t-shirt contest was designed to celebrate and honor the nursing profession so tell your personal story through designing a shirt or commenting on your favorite design!

Customer Spotlight – We are Penguins! Custom School Field Trip T-Shirts

It is always fun to see our fans wearing our custom sweatshirts! An elementary teacher contacted us for help designing a sweatshirt for a student field trip from California to Washington D.C. The 4th and 5th graders can be seen below wearing their fun an unique sweatshirts. The design has their Penguin school mascot under the Capital. Wearing matching t-shirts or sweatshirts are a great way to keep track of the students on the trip, keep them warm, keep it fun, and to have something to remember the trip by.  Thanks for sharing Room 12!
